Renowned Nigerian comedian, Trinity Guy, sparked significant reactions online with a recent act of kindness toward a struggling graduate. In a video shared on Trinity Guy’s verified Instagram page on January 28, 2024, the comedian was visibly surprised as he encountered a man collecting discarded iron on the street just outside his home.
In the video, Trinity Guy takes a moment to engage with the man and learns that he holds a degree in Architecture from a Nigerian tertiary institution. Upon inquiring about the man’s well-being, he discovers that despite his education, financial struggles led him to pick discarded iron. The man shares a heartbreaking story, revealing the loss of both parents and the departure of his wife due to their impoverished situation.
During the conversation, the man mentions that he is not working alone and is supported by his elder brother, who assists in selling the collected items. They manage to earn around N500 to N1000 daily, highlighting the difficulty of their lives.
Understanding the challenges faced by the graduate, Trinity Guy extends his philanthropic gesture. He takes the man to a barber for a haircut, provides him with new clothes, and treats him to a meal at a restaurant. Additionally, Trinity Guy gifts the graduate and his brother the sum of N50,000, evoking emotional gratitude from the recipients.
