Maverick City Music will make history at the 64th annual Grammy Awards happening on April 3rd 2022, becoming the first Christian group to perform on the grand stage in 20 years! The wonderful singing group have also has been nominated in all four categories across the two genres. The four categories include:
- Best Gospel Performance/Song – Wait On You
- Best Contemporary Christian Music Performance/Song – Jireh
- Best Gospel Album – Jubilee: Juneteenth Edition
- Best Contemporary Christian Music Album – Old Church Basement
The group were so excited about this marvellous feat, and they shared their excitement via an Instagram post saying:

The 64th GRAMMY Awards will air live on Sunday, April 3, on the CBS Television Network and streamed live and on-demand on Paramount+ from 8–11:30 p.m. ET / 5–8:30 p.m. PT. Prior to the telecast, the GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony will be streamed live on GRAMMY.com and the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel.
