Ryan became a co-host and executive producer of the “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve in 2006. He is now the host and executive producer of the annual show broadcast from Times Square in New York City after Dick Clark passed away in 2012.

Ryan was born on December 24th, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia to Gray Lee Seacrest and Constance Marie. Ryan’s father was a real estate lawyer and his mother a Homemaker. His father also served in the U.S Army as Lieutenant and Ryan grandfather Henry Gene Skeen, retired as a major general in the U.S Army.

Ryan’s mother was able to tell the Atlanta journal-constitution how Her Son started showing interest in anchoring a program on air. In her words, instead of Ryan playing with the G.I Joe’s or Cowboys and Indians, He would take out a little microphone and practice how to do a show in the house.

Ryan attended Dunwoody High school when he was 14, at 16 while still a student of Dunwoody high school, Ryan won an internship program at 94.1 WSRY in Atlanta where Tom Sullivan nurtured him in several aspects of radio work.

Ryan Seacrest’s first show came when their regular Dj reported sick, Sullivan had to put  Ryan on air. After his internship, Ryan continued to work at WSTR until he graduated from Dunwoody high school in 1992. He moved on from WSTR to Athens station where he continued his radio show there.

Ryan Seacrest received an Honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from the University of Georgia and also did give the opening speech at the graduation.

Ryan seacrest established his own Productions company, which oversaws Production of several reality Television series including the famous “keeping up with the Kardashians”(2007 to 2021), Denise Richards: It’s complicated (2008 – 2009), and Khloe & Lamar (2011 -2012) with many others.

Ryan seacrest was also saddled with the responsibility of taking over the hosting of the popular weekly nationally syndicated radio show “American Top 40, which features most popular and newly released song in the United States from  retiring Casey Kasem.
