Popular gospel minister, Mercy Chinwo has been awarded as the Best Gospel Artist off the year 2021 by the African Entertainment Awards USA.

The artist was excited about the achievement, speaking about the award, she said via an Instagram post:

Mercy Chinwo's Award - Best gospel artist AEAUSA 2021

The 7th AEAUSA was  held in New Jersey. The award show was hosted by Nancy Isime, and Eric Omondi. The nominees were announced on 1 November 2021, following the opening of the voting portal. Other nominees in the category for the best gospel artist include Ada Ehi, Frank Edwards, Deborah Lukaku, Nathaniel Bassey, Benjamin Dube, Tim Godfrey, Sinach, Proper Germoh and Joe Mettle.

The African Entertainment Awards USA (also referred to as AEAUSA), an annual event consisting of mostly music awards. The event is composed of 30 categories (22 music & 8 non-music) and the 1st edition of the African Entertainment Awards was held on 31 October 2015, at the Mary Burch Theater Newark, New Jersey, with host; Comrade Fatso, and Hassan Oliver.
