The American Music Awards (AMA) have announced the nominees for their forth-coming event this year. The two Christian music categories: Favorite Inspirational Artist, and Favorite Gospel Artist. This year’s event is going to be happening live on Sunday, 21st November 2021.

For the Favourite Gospel Artiste of the year, nominees are:

• Kanye West
• Kirk Franklin
• Koryn Hawthorne
• Maverick City Music
• Tasha Cobbs Leonard

For the Favourite Inspirational Artist of the Year, nominees are:

• CAIN
• Carrie Underwood
• Elevation Worship
• Lauren Daigle
• Zach Williams

The American Music Awards (AMAs) is an annual American music awards show, generally held in the fall, created by Dick Clark in 1973 for ABC when the network’s contract to air the Grammy Awards expired. Up until and including the 2005 edition, both the winners and the nominations were selected by members of the music industry, based on commercial performance, such as sales and airplay. Since the 2006 edition, winners have been determined by a poll of the public and fans, who can vote through the AMAs website. The award statuette is manufactured by the New York firm Society Awards.

The SOAR Awards, presented by SOAR Radio, the first Gospel internet radio on the official Nielsen BDS National airplay panel. The 2022 edition will be hosted by Todd Dulaney. It will be honouring William Murphy, Dorinda Clark Cole, and John Hannah.
