The 52nd edition of the GMA (Gospel Music Association) Dove Awards was held this Friday, October 2021. The theme of the event was “Stronger together”. There were various awards for twenty-eight (28) different categories of gospel music, with a bunch of nominations for each of this category

The President and Executive Director of the Gospel Music Association, Jackie Patilo spoke on the event saying the event was to celebrate gospel music and the gospel of Jesus Christ. The theme “Stronger together” comes from the scripture in Ecclesiastes 4:12 that says  “though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.” She went further to say that Gospel Music and the Dove Awards is an open invitation to come together; Hip-pop, pop, rock, southern gospel, contemporary gospel, etc.
