CHIEF BINEY HAMILTON NIXON
Chief Biney Hamilton Nixon, an accomplished Ghanaian politician, humanitarian, and businessman. His story is an inspiring tale of resilience, dedication, and act of service to the country. Chief Biney has had a substantive career in politics and business spanning several decades.
He has contributed massively to the political landscape of Ghana and he does this through his continuous pursuit of progress and development.
CHIEF’S EARLY LIFE AND EDUCATION
Chief Biney was born on the 28th of May 1978 in the Central Region of Ghana. He hails from Ekumfi Narkwa, which is rich in culture and history. He is from the Fante ethnic group.
From a young age, Chief Biney demonstrated commitment to leadership and selfless service.
He has been a true academic and learner throughout his entire life. He attended the Data Link Institute and the Ghana Institute of Surveyors, where he was taught strategic thinking and management. Chief Biney also holds a Master of Science in Strategic Management, which has greatly influenced his leadership and problem-solving style.
CHIEF’S POLITICAL CAREER: FROM THE GRASSROOTS TO NATIONAL LEADERSHIP
Chief Biney’s political career began in the 1990s as a strong supporter of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). In 1996,he registered as a member of the NDC and started his ascent through the ranks. His commitment to the NDC ideology and his ability to engage with the people helped him assume several roles: polling station agent, organizer, and Vice Chairman of the Ekumfi Constituency.
Due to his leadership qualities, he was appointed the Regional Party Security Coordinator for the NDC. He ran against eight other candidates in November 2018 for the post of Deputy National Organizer of the NDC. His performance in the elections put him in an excellent place to be elected as deputy national organizer; also elected was Kobby Barlon, the person with the highest votes.
As Deputy National Organizer, Chief Biney began put in place of how the party would grow and expand its ability to organize and provide access to call-to-action policies. In October 2022, he successfully organized and led the “Ghana Must Work Demo” in Accra, which included issues presented over a national focus.
He ran for National Organizer at the NDC’s 10th Delegates Congress in December 2022, but Joseph Yammin defeated him by a slim margin. However, Chief Biney is still a respected person in the NDC and is still a key leader in representing the NDC agenda
HIS ENTREPRENEURIAL AND HUMANITARIAN PROJECTS
Chief Biney is not just but also a successful entrepreneur as well as a social-justice advocate. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Jham Logistics Company Limited, one of the leading cargo forwarding companies in Ghana. He is also the owner of Atlas Delivery Service, a courier service that provides normal and reliable delivery services for logistics throughout Ghana.
Chief Biney has a vision of creating jobs for economic development for the benefit of Ghana. Both businesses have a philanthropic aspect but also provide jobs in Ghana.
Chief Biney is a humanitarian, who is always willing to give back to various communities, which is proved in his support of initiatives that aim to improve education, health and infrastructure, particularly in Ekumfi. The communities respects and admires him for his generosity, solidifying his legacy as a leader who cares for his people.
HIS PERSONAL LIFE
Chief Biney is married to Madam Alberta Afia Akoto, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP). Madam Alberta’s choice of marrying Chief Biney shows how Chief Biney lives his philosophy of putting humanity before politics. Chief Biney and Madam Alberta have four great children—2 girls and 2 boys whom Chief Biney loves unconditionally.
